Strange. I love the bands you mentioned, I even make that kind of music myself. But in a basketball game, i wanna hear nothing about it.
But the mp3 browser solution would be the best. And, oh yeah: Console does suck.

Let's hear some rock next year. I like rap, but I like rock also.

Ditto.
Ditch the 'real' rap and just get some beats or something.

mmmm maybe a good compilation of the best songs of the old NBA's

However the best solution I see it is to just include an mp3 browser (like madden has), where you just specify a folder on your computer and it'll run a quick scan and add all those songs in that folder to a new playlist in the game. That way everybody wins (except for the artists

)..
yes indeed
i've been requesting that they add this feature for a few years now
someone should put this on the next wishlist

Yea, that's true; I didn't think of that. I suppose that idea will never be anything more than a complement to the regular soundtrack.
Though hopefully they'll see it as an opportunity to improve the game for PC users, rather than just something not worth their time.

Absolutely, with the added flexibility PCs offer (not to mention the fact I prefer PC gaming when it comes to Live) it'a fair bonus for PC users. It's not as though the console versions haven't benefited from various exclusive extras or have their own advantages either.

YEAH! EA would even save money because they wouldn't have to pay rap "artists" to make songs for the game.

For one, the console users readily have a gamepad as compared to PC users.

True, not to mention being free of any system requirement worries whatsoever. That hasn't caused any problems for me for a few years now since I upgraded before cutting it too close with any of my games but I'm sure there are console players who would prefer the PC version if they could run it on their systems.

yeah they should go back to instrumentals like in Live 98 with the option to play your own music.

EA should get GAME on the soundtrack. His verse on Madden was hot and he really plays basketball so he would have some sick ball related metaphors to spit in his verse.

How bout something from the new Chilli Pepper's CD?

Just have more songs with different types like rock and metal and be able to disable the songs if you'd like.

LakersGM1: You are able to disable songs in the current version(s). Just go into the Jukebox and turn them off as you please.
