"Freestyle Air" - gives you control over mid-air moves including dunks and layups

What is this?

Probably the same thing that has been available since Live 2004; ajdust the layup or dunk into a layup to get around the defender.

yeah i'd say it's just adjustments and pass outs mid air as Tuomas said, possibly choice of lay up or dunk, by direction pushed with the control stick?

The funny thing is that NBA Live originally borrowed that idea for Live 2004 from NBA Street 2.

Well that's not unusual, they normally use other games ideas

Well both were EA's. I just wonder how EA Big does such a fantastic job with the NBA Street series and NBA Live gets worse all the time. Let's hope NBA Live 07 will kick some life into the franchise.

They should utilize the right analog stick for mid-air moves.

like in 2k6? yeah that's good-you can go up for the lay up, then switch hands to avoid the defender and stuff

freestyle Air is what we had since 2004, which is Tip ins and Tip slams or just the regular rebounds

dont the normal players other than those that are playmakers only get to tweak their layups, while playmakers also get to pass midway through a layup. My guess is, like everyone elses, is basically what has been done by EA since 2004, but possibly this time, players other than playmakers will be able to pass midway through a layup.
