Stan Van Gundy MAKEOVER??

Fri Aug 10, 2007 12:10 pm

Well, I was in my dynasty, playin the magic when I hear Steve Kerr talk about how Stan Van Gundy needs to call a timeout...and I thought to myself...man, that's nice, it always seems to take EA awhile to get coaches right (Anybody played Madden from like 2003-2006....Dallas Coach ...Not parcels...just....Dallas Coach....ummm) anywho, So I decide to sneak a peek at him when I dribble by, only to see he has a head of gray hair, lost about 40 pounds, gotten taller, and has no moustache. Now, unless Stan got a makeover on TLC...I think that's the ol' Brian Hill model!! HA...Leave it to EA....Wow...

While it is EA's mistake, it's not really a bug in the game as Stan Van Gundy was not a coach in the default rosters. A few of the old coaches' face files have been left in the game as easter eggs the last couple of years which has been useful when it comes to the roster updates. When I added Van Gundy as the Magic's coach, I neglected to check the .viv beforehand (since other leftover coach art has been correct) and didn't notice that it was incorrect. It's a mistake on EA's part, but it's a mistake that would never have shown up in the game if not for some third party editing. ;)

I know it's not a bug, and it doesn't bother me at all, I just thought it was funny to hear SVG and then see BH...(who's coming back to the NETS!!!)

I don't think so...There's no glasses on the guy...

Larry Brown has always Had glasses in EVERY NBA LIVE I've ever played...but that's IMO...and from a little experience,

but either way, it's not SVG

Glasses are assigned through an attribute in coaches.dbf rather than the art file.
