Controller issue

My friend has a Logitech Dual Action controller and when playing NBA Live 2007 his players will pass the ball once they get the pass. They just pass the ball off without him even touching the controller. He has no other issues with any other EA games. We play Madden 2007 and no issues there. It is just NBA Live 2007. Does anyone know what is causing this kind of issue whether it's just controller related or the game itself, any help would be appreciated.

P.S. The controller is being recognized by the game as a Logitech Dual Action controller.
