NBA live 07 made more for simulating

when u think about it, nba live 07 was made more for simulating, they added more crap outside of the action, lyk they added more for the dynasty mode with lyk rumour searching, player rotation etc.... me personally i dont even play that game anymore, i play 06 more. the only good thing in 07 is the roster is updated, i hate the freestyle stuff so i dont reckon how u can switch freestyle types in the middle of a game is good.... 2k games are good coz they have lay up ratings so players miss layups due to pressure without u having to get 10 blocks in a game... i plan to get 2k7 but i wanna get xbox 360, gotta start saving tho

God no... EA's sim engine is TERRIBLE!
Because their ratings are retarded and because the outcomes they produce make no sense statistically, simulating through NBA Live is absolutely awful if you're even peripherally familiar with how teams actually play or how good certain players are, etc.

Live is just a horrible game however you play it lol.. but it's all we have and is good enough to at least try.
When you play, the AI is stupid, the players ALWAYS run the same formations so every game is identical, the animation bugs are horrible (rebounding, first step bug), the AI is too stupid to follow their shots, the computer AI is horrible, point guards stand around doing nothing for a long time, in air collision is horrible, and the worst thing they didnt even add sliders for online play.
Sims are pointless, dynasty has too much pointless crap, theres not enough random factor in sims, players barely evolve each year..
Overall the game is junk but I play it thanks to a couple online leagues I'm in keeping it fun. We have trades, player evolution, stats and all.

Yes, there are many mind-boggling aspects of the game that are very frustrating... basic elements of basketball that aren't attended to in favor of some other random BS that seems more important. EA can't even make a PC-specific interface after 12 freaking years...
But as you say, it's all we've got; 2K7 doesn't come out for the PC.

And they never fix the draft... lol. It's the same draft engine, I swear; same preponderance of 6'2 guards, same lack of real depth the the process, same pointless waste of time scouting system...

To be quite honest, I actually hate NBA Live. It's gotten steadily worse since Live 95, which was an intensely entertaining game. I think my favorite part about NBA Live is these forums, because the people here are good fun and I like reading the Dynasty Stories section for the creative stuff people do.
