You may have downloaded the wrong patch. There were like 6 different forms of the patch, 2 for each language - DVD and Download. I suggest downloading the other two DVD versions and see if one of them works. Make sure you don't have any mods installed before you patch it.

What file is it trying to find?

if i'm not mistaken it's something like "main.js" i've tried to find the file manually through the search but i didn't manage to find it. it lokks like i'm trying to install the wrong patch-version but since i have an english cd-dvd, i've clearly downloaded the first patch found in the list, namely:
Official Bug Fix Patch (English DVD-ROM Version)

I believe that file is related to EA Sports Online (EASO) which should have been installed along with NBA Live 07.

You shouldn't need to register the game to install the official patch.

I had this problem as well...try this...

Go to C:/Programfiles/EASports/NBALive07...Delete that folder....

You will get a prompt saying that "deleting this file may cause some programs to work incorrectly" or something to that effect, delete it anyway

Then MyDocuments/NBALive07...Delete that...sorry about any good dynasties, but this works...

Then, remove the shortcut from your desktop, and remove it from the add/remove programs list...Basically you're making your comp forget that Live ever existed on it...Because when you just uninstall, alot of the files that were there for the game, stay on your computer. Then, reinstall, and before you ever open the game, download the patch and anyother mods or patches you like...I posted a list of what I have so far that has worked perfectly...Here's the link

http://www.nbaliveforums.com/ftopic50622.php&highlight=

Check it out...but as for the EA Patch problem, try the way I mentioned, it worked for me.

^Don't do that.

silvan, look to see if there is an EASO folder in your NBA Live 07 directory.

"C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\NBA LIVE 07\EASO"

That's EA Sports online. There is no main.js file, but there is a easoMain.js file in the commonJS subfolder.

Well, if that works then great, but that's just a possibility, I was just offering a way for him to do it...Because I had the same EXACT problem, and that's how it worked for me. You probably don't even have to delete the saves from it, but I did, just to be sure that all NBALive stuff was gone...Although, I didn't delete EASO, so I don't think that EASO has anything to really do with it...

My situation was that it couldn't find blah blah file...and I uninstalled normally, (add/remove programs) and reinstalled, and tried again...Didn't go, so then I did the deleting from C: way, and from my documents...(minus EASO) and then It worked perfectly...so that's from experience with the problem...thanks

thanks guys..
actually i tried to run the eadownloader patch and for some unknown reason it worked while the pc version did not. I don't have an EASO folder however. This seems strange to me but is in fact the case. Now how can i check whether the patch has been successfully installed pls?

Check to see if there is a "fatigue" option that can be set to on/off. See if Renaldo Balkman has a cyberface. Put your cpu substitution slider to 100 and play a 12 minute game to see if the cpu subs.

Hi, so do I need to remove the whole game if I want to install the patch? Because I have SUM mode installed..

I installed it back couple weeks ago. The patch worked before I removed NBA Live 07 though.

Yes. You will need to uninstall it, delete the entire NBA Live 07 folder, reinstall it, apply the official patch, and then you can install SUM again if you wish.

Thanks Pdub!
I thought NBA Live 08 was going to release on Oct.2, so I decided to erase it and focus on the school for couple months.

I guess I'm going to uninstall the game and reinstall it.

BTW, I love your SUM V2 mode :D
