How interested were they in those players that you wanted to trade?

The opposing team needs to be really interested in the player(s) you're offering. It's pretty difficult to trade picks earlier in the season as well since it isn't as clear which picks are going to be high and which picks will be low.

you have to trade a really young player like a rookie or first rounder for a draft pick. For example, if you have martel webster, you could trade him for a 1st rounder with a team who has cap space. Or if you have jj reddick, you could trade him for a second rounder. I think i traded the rookier brewer i forgot his first name for a 1st rounder, but if i'm wrong, then most likely you can defenitely trade him for a second rounder. But most of the time its if the computer team really needs the player that you're trading for. Like if you're doing the lakers most likely you have sasha vuj the shooting gaurd, especially if you trained him until he's 70, you can defenitly trade him to some team maybe milwaukee if they have cap space, for a second rounder.
