v1.11 released...

Talk about NBA Live 07 here.

v1.11 released...

Postby Andrew on Sun Jul 22, 2007 11:02 pm

The wait is over: the post Draft patch is finally here! I apologise for delaying it last week but it was necessary for me to get it done. The first update after the Draft is always one of the most difficult and time consuming as there's always at least 60 new players to create but in any event, v1.11 has been completed and is available to download here.

Key features of v1.11:
- 2007/2008 Offseason Rosters accurate as of 21/7/07
- All 60 2007 Draftees and 11 undrafted rookies added
- Player ratings updated for more realistic performance
- Primacy ratings updated for better shot distribution
- Player positions and data updated/corrected
- Fatigue ratings updated for better substitution patterns
- Cyberfaces for missing players
- Portraits for missing players
- Player heights and weights corrected
- Atlanta Hawks jerseys updated
- Atlanta Hawks logos updated
- Years Pro updated
- Player salaries and contracts updated
- Final 2006/2007 Rosters
- 2006/2007 Opening Night Rosters

Additional release notes can be found below.

  • All players who have been signed by an NBA team (and a couple who haven't) have been included in the patch. Because of the 15 player limit, some players who are still listed as being on a team's roster are in the free agent pool (mostly players who are free agents this offseason and unsigned draft picks). If you can't find a player, look in the Free Agent pool.
  • Since not all jersey number changes or rookies' jersey numbers have been made available, there's bound to be some mistakes. As always, any corrections in this regard are much appreciated.
  • It is quite likely that there are some rookie ratings that could use some work, something I plan to do throughout the offseason. As is often the case with the first update after the Draft, a couple of the rookies are perhaps rated a little too high. If you have any suggestions for the rookie ratings, please let me know. They are a work in progress!
  • Salaries have been updated but since some players remain free agents or unsigned draft picks, there is no contract info available for them. In the case of unsigned draftees I have given them a ballpark salary on a sliding scale according to the draftees who have already signed while everyone else without up to date contract info still has their 2006/2007 data. This will of course be updated as soon as new info becomes available.
  • For dialup visitors or those with slower broadband connections, please note that due to all the new art, the patch has become a 16 MB download. v1.10 was around 7.5 MB in size.
  • At this time, some of the newly added players are using generic portraits. This will change as soon as art for them becomes available, in the meantime the DBF has been pre-edited so as soon as one of the talented patchmakers in our community makes a face for those players, you can download it straight to your SGSM folder and use it straight away without having to touch the databases.
  • Similarly, some new players are missing portraits (mostly second rounders), as soon as those updates become available for download they can be used with the patch (and hopefully included in future releases as well).
  • Player updates, bio updates and corrections and of course the addition of missing players and transactions will be done throughout the offseason. It would defeat the purpose of being a roster update if the rosters weren't updated.

I think that's about it! Any questions or feedback, please make use of this thread. A huge thanks also to everyone who submitted art for use with the latest rosters.

A little problem with the patch Andrew: I can't play with the Rockets... after charging the game NBA live 2007 stops... I change settings of Scola and another guys (I think he is 72-73 and not 67), maybe it is the cause?
The patch is excellent, all players are here, Hawks jersey... But do you know what is this bug and how could I stop it?
Thank you very much!

It looks very nice, thanks a lot!

I have a few problems though - I can't play with the Hawks new jerseys, and Mike Conley hasn't got a cyberface or portrait.

I will post some more feedback on the rookie ratings as I've looked them all through - just dl'ed the patch half an hour ago :-)

No need to be snide. As you can see in the release notes I do acknowledge there is work to be done with player ratings and it is something I'll be doing throughout the offseason. If you have any specific suggestions for ratings I'm certainly interested in hearing them. Thanks.

There were a couple of issues with the server last night, for which I apologise. The patch should be fine to download now.

I'll fix up the problem with the Hawks' jerseys in v1.12, Pdub alerted me to the problem. (Y) Conley should have a face and portrait though, I'll double check to make sure they've been included.

Crashes aren't caused by ratings. ;) I'll check it out but as far as I know there shouldn't be any issues with the Rockets.

It isn't official yet but he's supposedly agreed to sign with them. I went back and forth as to whether I should add him or leave him in the Free Agent pool but ultimately decided to place him on the Hornets and update his contract info when it's a done deal.

I have a problem with rockets 2. every time i play with them the game chashes before it even started.

everything else i perfect. but you did a mistake not puting sasha pavlovic in cleveland's starting lineup. i know it is not a big problem, i'll fix it myself, but i am just suprised that you think he isn't good enough to be a starter (i'm serb like sasha) :D
-and darko milicic (another serb) isn't in memphis starting lineup, why?
on grizzlies official site they welcomed him as a key signing to help gasol and gay to provide playoffs.
-and just one more thing, nenad krstic from new jersey has 69 overall, but he had 16.5 ppg last season before the injury, and i am shure that nets didn't do anything special in playoffs because of he's fatal injury. (magloire has better ratings then krstic, but new jersey coach told the press that he would be an offencive backup for nenad)

don't think i'm telling you these couse they are the same nationality, i'm shure a lot of people think they are great players 2

anyway thanks for the update you did a great job :applaud:

I'll have to see what's going on. I can't think of anything that could be wrong offhand.

In regards to Pavlovic, it's not that I don't think he isn't good enough to start for the Cavs, just that I have Gibson starting at the point with Hughes at shooting guard as my projected lineups at the moment. That might change during the offseason and certainly when the season starts and the actual lineup are there for me to use. :)

Andrew, Nice job with the 1.11 roster release!!!
Just one question do you know why there is no portrait for Joel Anthony for the Miami Heat???
If anyone else knows why there is no portrait and would like to help that's great also.

I thought I had put Darko in the starting lineup. I had intended to, I must have forgotten. Krstic's also one of the players I'll be looking at this offseason.

I found a solution to my Mike Conley problem, so don't worry.

I have looked through your rookie rankings, and generally, they look very good. I have a few suggestions for your next update:

Nick Young have a 41 inch standing vertical, and you have given him a 61 jump rating. I think he deserves higher, like in the 80's.

Rodney Stuckey deserves a bit of a lift imo. He did very well in summer league where proved that he was an excellent scorer. I would say he deserves a +5 in his fg and 3p fg at least.

Sean Williams ratings looks to high in general. I would lower his inside scoring, o. reb. o aware. and blk rating.

Lois Williams (not a rookie, but shoed a lot of things in SL) should get a boost. he is 57 overall now, which doesn't reflect his talent. I would give him a boost in Speed, quickness and ball handling.

Kevin Durant will probably start for the Sonics at SG, with Jeff Green starting at PF (read it in an interview somewhere).

I think Kevin Durant's ratings needs to get quite a lot higher. From what I've seen of him, he looks like a top 25 player already. I would give him better ball handling, fg, 3p fg, inside scoring and dunk rating. Imo he should have star abilities as both an inside an an outside scorer. His offensive repertoire equals that of Rashard Lewis, only with better post up skills. His rebounding stats could use a boost as well.

The rest of the rookies looks pretty good imo, good job![/quote]

Andrew you made a very good work... thank you!!!
I'm an italian guy and i'm happy to see in golden state Mr. Marco Belinelli in the starting 5.... he is a 71 perfect....

i'm new in this forum and i don't know if you can understand my english, so i'm sorry for this..

the last thing about kevin durant... i think it will be a very good player, but he's a rookie and 77 it's a good average for him i think... give him more??? i don't know maybe is a little early... hi all!!!
Bargnani, Belinelli and Gallinari the revenge of Italy!!!!

@andrew thanks for the info about mo pete.

I was able to play houston with no problem, hmm maybe because i did some position changes or something I really don't know. I have a problem though with houston, I can't fit the player's playing time, =P. I have lucas and novak in IL but in reality they will be much of a help than bonzi wells or snyder (due to injuries). they really need to trade most of their guards (alston, lucas, head, wells and snyder). I hope the trade between miami and houston will put through.

about rookies, well i think they should be averaging at least 60 to 75 and depends on how they will perform in the season. these is because some of them are overshadowing the stars of some teams. just my opinion.

andrew any news about houston bug fix??? or is it just screwed in my nba live?

-one question about toronto roster: was garbajosa really playing as a small forward
lasr season? and nesterovic in starting lineup? i was more thinking about this starting 5: C-Bosh
PF-Bargnani
SF-Peterson (until he sign for hornets)
SG-Parker
PG-Ford

but still it is a great roster update

it will be good lineup if bargani will be integrated as a starter but definitely be playing center not PF. and mo pete will not start for toronto. Jorge will be playing sf for toronto.

so maybe Mo pete will be playing with NO after all since Desmond Mason would be playing for bucks next season..

===
I was able to play against hawks with the new uniform in exhibition, it would be sweet if they also have the new coourt?!?

I was also able to play houston with out any problem.. as I said earlier..
