v1.07 released...

Postby Andrew on Sun May 06, 2007 6:04 pm

Andrew wrote:A new roster update (v1.07) for NBA Live 07 is now available to download here.

Key features of v1.07:
- 2006/2007 Playoff Rosters (accurate as of 05/05/07)
- 2006/2007 Opening Night Rosters added
- Player ratings updated for more realistic performance
- Primacy ratings updated for better shot distribution
- Player positions and data updated/corrected
- Fatigue ratings updated for better substitution patterns
- Cyberfaces for all newly added players
- Portraits for all newly added players
- Some player heights and weights corrected

For the most part, the Opening Night rosters reflect the lineups that every team used in their opening night matchup. There are a couple of exceptions however, mainly where players moved into the starting lineup fairly early in the season or where a player might have missed opening night for one reason or another. I've done this to optimise the roster for Dynasty Mode.

I think that's about it for this update. I expect I'll release another couple of updates through the Playoffs and hopefully a few during the offseason as well.

Still Missing Face Portraits

Postby FREDtheBeerMan on Sun May 06, 2007 10:29 pm

Thanks for the new roster Andrew. I was able to scan through ALL the players' face portraits, but I found a couple that are still not properly installed (from my system at least):
-Kevinn Pinkney, Free Agents (no portrait)
-Mile Ilic, New Jersey (generic portait)

I understand that these may be installed, but does not properly show in the interface. Can you please check them out and make fixes if neccesary? Thanks again.

Sanguango, both are very good perimeter defenders so giving them stopper freestyles is nice idea.
Andrew, good job as always.

As Grosso said, it's to reflect their reputation as tough perimeter defenders.

Alright Andrew. Tell me what problem did you find (if any).

I also have a couple of suggestions:
-Can it be possible for you to add custom teams to your roster? I know Jimmy does this to his roster, but he has informed that he is done working on the roster for now, and I have doubts that he may not work on it at all for this season.

-There is still 1 open player spot in the International team roster. Can you possibly add Virgin Islands native Tim Duncan to that team. He is one of the best international players, and I'm surprised that EA left him out on that team.

Thanks!

To be honest I haven't really given custom teams much thought. I wouldn't rule it out I guess.

I don't think Duncan's really a suitable candidate for that team, which is why he isn't there by default. I know he was born in the US Virgin Islands and as such is usually considered an international player on the NBA register but he's also represented the US on the national team.

Question about the Primacy Fix - I don't play Dynasty mode but would like to play one full season (including playoffs if things go well :P ) so does that mean I do NOT have to run the Primacy Fix at all?

Thanks.

P.S. Where's your sliders?

Well, if in case you had decided to include them, here are a couple of suggestions:
-All-Rookie Team:
http://www.nba.com/news/allrookie_070508.html

-All-Defensive Team:
http://www.nba.com/news/alldefensive_070430.html

There will be more to come. Please consider these. :proud:

I don't know if the Primacy recalculation problems plague single season mode or not, I haven't really touched it since Franchise/Dynasty mode was introduced. If so, you'll need to run the Primacy fix regularly, the same as a Dynasty mode game.

I don't have a slider set to offer, sorry.

Ok, then I have one more possible suggestion. Maybe we can put in a veteran. How about Dikembe Mutombo? Or if you don't like him, then who do you suggest?

No one else really comes immediately to mind. I'd have to take another look at the rosters to see if there's another feasible candidate.

One more suggested custom team is just in (in case you still may consider doing them. It's the All-NBA Team:
http://www.nba.com/news/allnba_070510.html

You can also use the following coaches for the custom teams:
All-Rookie: Avery Johnson, Dallas
All-Defensive: Jerry Sloan, Utah
All-NBA: Sam Mitchell, Toronto

If you do decide to make the custom teams, then good luck. (Y)

Hello dear roster man!
I'm new here, but i have installed your roster and like it much! for 98% it's perfect, this is those 2% for your roster man :)
Season finished, PO is burning our minds, people progressing, i think you have make some atention on this guys:
Season award winners:
-Brandon Roy, roockie of the year, with 20+ points most part of last 30 games of the season, he increased his fg% from 30% to 46! And scoring much from difficult situations, i think this guy desrves to be star scorer outside :) Also he is best in passing from roockies and his pass deserves be better. Other parts of his game thats on high quality level: dribbling, you can see it from his top 10 ROY, and stealing, with 1.2 steals he is leader in his team in this part of the game.
-Leandro Barbosa, absolutly quickest scorer in the league today. With a lot of progress this year and much 20+ gamesm with high %, he deserves star scorer outside for shure, also i think his 3 pt rating is low for his height and 3 pt % from the field.
-J. Tinsley with 7 assist per game deserves to be freestyle playmaker :)

Play Off part:
- Luol Deng is scoring leader in Chicago, with a lot of stuff from inside and outside, in game he is made not for scoring much, i think his offensive aware, speed and inside rating shoud be better.
-Baron Davis showing his full potential in PO scoring 26 points per game against such monstr as Dallas, with 50+ fg% and 47 % 3 pt %, with some games 4-5 3 pts per game, i think for his height and scoring ability his fg and 3pt rating so low, they shoud be fixed :) Also Baron Davis is so awasome from inside, making unbelieveble moves, but haven't inside scorer star like tony parker or dwyne wade.
-Stephen Jackson, was show his scoring spirit in GS, with much games 20+ and 7/8 3 pts against dallas in game 6, ithink this guy for shure deserves to be scorer or shooter.
-Carlos Boozer, totally dominator inside against Yao, against all GS, but have only 82 offensive aware and just star level of inside scorer, E.Brand and others have SS level with just 20 points per game on his position. and his deffensive rebound is 9 per game in PO! other guys with so rebounding ability have def rebound rating 90, also he jumping good for his height with a lot of power dunks, he jumps not badder J.O'neal, but have only 60+ jump. And his is not lower than J.Oneal or Dwight Howard, his speed in life better than now in game, please take a look on this.
pc: like your work with Kirk Hinrich in last roster ;)
pc2: will you make roster with 2007 roockies after draft?
Thanks for the atention a have a nice work Andrew.

Andrew, I think Mo Williams should have higher fg than he currently have(72!). Watch any game of Milwaukee - MoWill always makes mid-range shots with exellent accuracy.
Luke Walton looks better in defence than his competitor in Lakers Maurice Evans. But currently in roster we see that their ratings are quite the contrary.
Michael Finley makes himself conspicuous in Play-Offs. He not only shoots from 3-point line with amazing 51%, but also even looks better than Manu. I think if only his 3pt rating should be increased.
Nene played very well in series against San Antonio. He averaged 15.2 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. Now I understand why Denver pays him 10M - sometimes I even didn't feel difference between him and his star-rival Tim Duncan, against whom during all series played Nene, not DPOY Camby. I think almost all Nene's ratings should be revised.
And the last one: everybody knows that, Andrew, you are Bulls fan. So I can't understand why Tyrus Thomas still doesn't have Highflyer freestyle. You know, he is exellent dunker, during the season his dunks often were among top 10, he took part in SDC after all! If there question with his speed, I think he quick enough to give him speed 75.
That's all. Thanks for your time.
EDIT:
I forget to mention about Ruben Patterson, who spend great season in Milwaukee Bucks. He not only was one of the Bucks' leaders on the court averaging 14.7 points 5.4 rebounds from SF position but also he shot with 55%(!) from the field and ranked #8 in FG% in the league behind only C's and PF's such as Amare, Boozer, D-12 etc. So IMO it is unfair that Ruben Patterson has fg-64 and inside scoring-53. I think it should be 75 both. And his rebounds should be 30-70 at least.
Randy Foye has very good mid range jumper, also from the dribble. Fg-65 definitely not about him. Even Shaun Livingston has fg-66. Foye shots better than Livingston for sure.

Andrew, can you give Kirk Hinrich more speed and quickness? He is not Leandro Barbosa or Tony Parker :) but he is faster, much faster than 77 i think.

Just a suggestion, I think mehmet okur deserves more than 77 rating in 3pt. He shoots almost 40% on 3's during the the season and even though he struggled in the 1st round he has come along as of late shooting 38.5% during the GS-UTAH series. (NBA.com)
Great rosters always (Y)

And one last thing but only a suggestion. I think Luke Ridnour's skin color is best suited as pale white. Thanks again man!
