noob question: how do i edit player.dbf files

is there a tutorial anywhere? i cant seem to find one. not really sure how to use that db commander pro program either. tried just opening up the players.dbf with notepad, changed a value of a player for fg, saved it, tried to load my dynasty and its crashed

actually, i tried editing files (players.dbf,teams.dbf and playmap.dbf) just by using Excel (2002). Was able to lower offensive rebound ratings and assign my own plays. just thought i'd share.

You can use MS Access or MS Excel, but I reccomend using DB Commander, it's here on this site.

Wrong section. Moving to Patching Issues. Still gotta do the dbf editing guides for this year, I hate to delay it but they're time consuming and I don't have as much free time for them to consume these days.
