Created Player

I created myself (Marshall Malone) and placed my character on the Grizzlies in the game. I created the cyberface using John Barry as a template since I have relatively the same facial hair, skin tone, etc. I haven't patched a Live series since back in 2000, so I'm a bit confused on why it's not working. I keep getting a black guy, closely resembling Michael Jordan, as my face in the game.

First, I used EAGRAPH to extract jobarry.fsh and jobarryr.fsh. I renamed them to mamalon.fsh and mamalonr.fsh. I then used FSHX to import my edited BMP to replace the existing one for each respective file. Then I imported mamalon.fsh and mamalonr.fsh to the plyrface.viv. I also went through all the other *.viv files and exported anything related with the prefix of jobarry and renamed/imported them as mamalon.

I used DB Commander 2000 to edit the roster database. My PLAYERPKG is MAMALON, respectively. Isn't this right? I also changed the ISCREATED to False. I go to NBA Live and load the new rosters... and I have a white body... with a black Michael Jordan-esque face.

I've read the tutorials... and I used to be an avid patcher back in the day, but I'm stumped. Thanks for any suggestions.

First thing is you don't have to put the .fsh files in the player.viv, you can put all the .fsh files into the NBA Live/sgsm folder

In players.dbf, you need to change the PLAYERPKG, and ISCREATED should be false, like you've done, but FACEPATCH should be true, and ISGENERATED should be false.

In appearance.dbf, ID7 is the same as PLAYERPKG, and FACEID (or something like that) should be -1.

There's no ID7 in the appearance.dbf in 06, so just change the FACEID to -1.

I didn't see a FACEPATCH setting. Is that something I have to create myself?

Also... I didn't see and ID7 in the appearance.dbf.

Like Heiks said, those fields may not be the same for 06, as that's what I know from 05. Try it without, see what happens

When EAGRAPH asks me if I want to decompress these files... do I decompress... or not?

Look in the "Tools and Editors" or whatever it's called on the main site, you should be able to find DB Commander.

the FACEPATCH field no longer exist in 06, so as the ID7 field in appearance.dbf

just make sure to put a False in ISCREATED, the ID7 in PLAYERPKG
and -1 in FACEID (appearance.dbf) then you should be fine

There is a problem. My DB Commander won't let me edit my appearance.dbf. Any suggestions?
