NBA Live 06 Roster *Updated w/ Daniel Ewing

Fri Sep 30, 2005 8:33 am

Nothing big or detailed, I just went through hoopshype transactions and made the trades/releases/signings that they had in there. Might be a few trades I missed along with missing players, but this should at least help out the PC users til Andrew releases his patch.

Monta Ellis, Salim Stoudamire, Korolev & Akindele included.

Nice rosters.

Only problem is why is Salim Stoudamire at 51 and Monta Ellis is 59 ? Lil bias aren't we

I am a fan of Monta and I know he has alot of potential but I think Salim should be a higher rating.

Mainly because Monta is a better defender and has a inside game. Stoudamire is mainly a shooter.

I've watched them both play quit a few times, Im a fan of Salim, but he just doesnt do much besides score.

Where did you see Ellis play? Stoudamire's competition was probably light years ahead of that of which Ellis faced. Ellis seems to have a lot of potential (moreso than Salim), but I seriously doubt he's better than Salim.

I watched him during the summer league and I also watched him during the mcdonalds game.

Obviously Im a warriors fan so I did try to be fair, but from what I've been reading, scouts are calling ellis the steal of the draft. Remember, he was considered a top 15 pick up until the draft.

You guys are welcome to change the ratings once you download the roster.

How do i upload the rosters I dont have a Saves folder???
I'm Confused...

I guess make a Saves folder in the NBA Live 06 folder.

*Update: Added Korolev & Akindele. Also put Walter McCarty on the Clips.

Well considering Derek Fisher is a 79 Speed and 70 Quickness (random player I selected to compare with), both Ellis and Stoudamire should have quickness in the 70s. Also, Stoudamire is one of the best shooters to come out of the college in several years, so IMO, his FG/3 pt/FT should be in the 70s, at least. He's also not that lousy for a defender to merit a 19 DAware. For Ellis, I would probably lower both OAware and DAware significantly - 15 pts, because most HS players struggle with the mental aspect of the NBA. 60 for his Stamina is quite high as well, I don't see how a 4 year college star who played major minutes has a lower stamina rating than a skinny player straight out of HS.

Darius Songalia and Malik Allen should be on the Bulls roster. Griffin is no longer a Bull and Pargo is a FA.

Thanks for the roster updates.

In Dynasty Mode, if i simulate all games... this rosters CRASH my Dynasty...

Pargo signed with the Bulls and Griffin is still a FA, Bulls probably will sign him, but not definate.

The only thing I've seen is that Pargo signed the qualifying offer, which means he's still a RFA. There is no official word that Pargo has signed. Griffin's return is hardly probable. Either way, Songalia will have a much larger impact than both Pargo and Griffin, so he deserves a roster spot. Malik Allen should be on there, but isn't as important.

Pargo accepts Bulls deal

September 30, 2005

Guard Jannero Pargo has accepted the Bulls' one-year qualifying offer, and agent Mark Bartelstein said the former Robeson High standout will sign a contract Friday or Monday. Pargo will make $875,000.

The New York Post reported Thursday that the Knicks' sign-and-trade proposal for center Eddy Curry, rejected weeks ago by Bulls general manager John Paxson, would have sent Tim Thomas and Michael Sweetney to the Bulls. Curry is expected to accept the Bulls' one-year qualifying offer and has until late Saturday to do so. The Bulls haven't ruled out extending the deadline, according to a source.

Players report for physical exams Monday. Training camp starts Tuesday.

If you used hoopshype's depthcharts, then man they have no idea what they're doing cause some of those starting line ups were horrible...funny how they pick the most recognizable names over players that will be starting...or even just straight up better players over players that will be starting...most talented players don't always start...(see clippers)

After I finally went through and fixed all the teams, I realized that smush parker is not on the game, and some people are saying he might start over sasha...if not, at least his back up...so for one player I go and edit the dbf and when i go to try to change a couple of things on player edit the game keeps crashing with the rosters....I undid the changes and it's the same

I want to start a dynasty so bad, but I don't think I'm going to do all those changes again, that took awhile

BTW, knicks will more than likely waive antonio davis and he will be resigned by chicago

And if eddy curry starts at C, malik rose will probably start over taylor...I don't believe larry brown is going to have 5 starters that can't play a lick of defense...you can put malik on anybody

While I agree with most of that, raising those stats would put these players at higher overall ratings then they should be and Id get more complaints. Appreciate the suggestions tho. :D

I'm from the school of thought that if the result is the player playing like he does in real life, then screw the final rating...

the overall rating is worked out by the game, not you...some people change the overall rating in the dbf to make up for this but then when you play a dynasty, it all gets screwed up, cause the rookies won't follow those guidelines

I don't know why people must have their players perfectely ranked, as long as the game plays like it's supposed to, I don't really mind. Sometimes, when a player is really skilled, just decreasing the awareness ratings won't make their overall rating "low enough"....so what do we do? Make him worse than he is in other areas?? Darius Miles can do a whole bunch of stuff on the floor, too bad their isn't a crack consumption and consistency rating...
