LeBron is better in RATINGS than T-Mac, for obviously reasons. But I really think that T-Mac is in an upper level right now.

Tmac is not a power dunker.....93 is a great videogame rating, what are you crying about, some people are getting like emotional over this

lol @ emotional people

Well.....power rating to lebron should involve some other moves except windmills in traffic. I see T-mac doing that before lebron does. I think i have seen a game in toronto where t-mac did a windmill in traffic, but there was a foul called and the points dind't count.

my point is that the power moves i have seen were primarily dunks of 2 legs inside with no time to take off. most from standstill. Lebron can't do that. Only power dunk he had last year was the one on Damon jones and that was because of his height advantage(over jones), power (over jones), bump in the air got him floating a little more ......i looked at the dunk and he doesn't elevate off 2 legs as high as j-rich or T-mac do from standstill....or on the break for that matter.

So do I and many of the world, that's why video game ratings aren't real, if they were their would be like 30+ different ratings

Powe is in regards to how hard you dunk, their's no denying when you talk about power dunking, you have to think of Shaq, Amare, and Lebron. Lebron is one of the strongest swingmen in the league, and he always tries to break the rim when he dunks. The only problem is that they gave him an 85 strength rating, which is horrible, he should be in the 70's.

can someone explain to me how the MVP of the NBA is not in the top 10?? That's a load of crap!! How is Nash not in there?!?!?!

Did you read the thread, maybe after you go and do it, you can ask the question

So you're sayin LeBron is better than T-Mac

Lebron is a better all-round player, they scored equally last season [Lebron actually had a higher PPG, FG%, and 3PT%], and Lebron is a better rebounder and passer.

Actually if updated they might be the same because Lebron's strength and defensive awareness would have to go down.

well.......85 strength is fine to me, it's just the ability to do certain dunks he isn't able to do in the game that annys me a bit. I have seen like 5 or 6 dunks from lebron off 2 legs and i have my share of cavs games here and seen all the highlight shows. he's a one legged dunker and the power players in live 06 do mostly shaq and amare dunks as you said.

does anyone have Ron artests strength rating? i have a game here from last year in cleveland where lebron couldn't handle artest inside the paint. So he must be stronger.
i have seen lebron score easily inside on a lot of people and i heard in interviews with guys around the league thatlebron is really REALLY strong physically.

Actually LeBron is not better overall because T-Mac does thhe same thing LB does. T-Mac let his PG get the assist. ao to get rebounds and T-Mac can Rebound just ass good

Thu Sep 22, 2005 10:57 am

Okay, whatever you say buddy, anyone that think's Tmac is as good a passer as Lebron is in some other world, I don't even like Lebron, but please. Tmac had a SG playing PG. Tmac does not do the same thing, watch them play, very different players. Tmac is a better scorer, shooter, and man to man defender.

ESPN's Top players
1.) Tim Duncan (99)
2.) Kevin Garnett (99)
3.) LeBron James (97)
4.) Kobe Bryant (97)
5. Dwyane Wade (97)
6. Shaq (96)
7. Allen Iverson (96)
8. Dirk Nowitzki (96)
9. Tracy McGrady (96)
10. Jermaine O'Neal (93)
11. Paul Pierce (93)
12. Jason Kidd (93)
13. Steve Nash (93)
14. Baron Davis (93)
15. Amare Stoudemire (92)

22. Gilbert Arenas (90)
23. Andrei Kirilenko (89)
24. Mike Bibby (89)
25. Steve Francis (89)
26. Ron Artest (89)

27. Shawn Marion (89)
28. Yao Ming (89)

In ESPN, Lebron is again higher than Tmac, the Wade one is a little odd though, 97 :?

Thu Sep 22, 2005 11:36 am

Wow those players are over-rated

Thu Sep 22, 2005 12:08 pm

I think Yao's 87 is for to please Chinese people and make them buy the game Smile he have 69 pass rating with .8 asist per game! Dirk's is 37 with 3.1 asist per game and KG's is 72 with nearly 5 asists Question this reminds me all-star starters voting Wink

HAHAHA of course yao should be 87 cuz NBA needs more diversity
even though he sucks

but i think lebrons not power
francis and AI could have better 3 rating
carter a shooter? i thought i jus drive and dunk
dirk should be better than Rasheed even tho he dont play de cuz he leads his team basically on his own. sheed not close to a leader

other than those i guess OK ratings

Thu Sep 22, 2005 12:35 pm

carter a shooter? i thought i jus drive and dunk

Carter doesn't dunk in traffic anymoe, he's been an underatted shooter for a while, his game has moved a lot more to the outside. Career 39% 3PT, and 5 of 7 years over 38% 3PT shooting with 3 over 40% shooting.

Thu Sep 22, 2005 4:31 pm

On what I said before about the importance of overall ratings, i forgot to add it shows the versatility in a way of your player too eg. KG, Marion, Lebron, Kobe, Tmac but then i think about shaq he was 90 something but we know diesel his strengths are in the paint.

i spose overall ratings is sort of a 'grey' area thing in the end.

Good point on the Yao assist thingy (Y)

There are some crazy people out there...

TMac does not give out as many assists as LeBron does, period. Thus LeBron will be a better passer in the game as the simulated stats are directly linked at the hip with the ratings. TMac doesn't get the boards James does, so James is higher rated in the game in rebounding too.

TMac is a scorer, and that is his job... It's not his job to get easy shots for everyone else, but it's his job to put up the shots and make the baskets... LeBron plays more of a play making role and racks up the assists in the process. And LeBron is a superb passer...

Marion being compared to Dirk... These guys should never be compared... Dirk should be compared to Duncan and KG and other 7 footers as they are tall and long and that size does much on the basket ball court... Marion is 6'7" so he is as tall as Kobe and TMac and James, his stats should be compared to them rather than biggest players in the league... To put things into perspective for you... Compare Marion's defensive stats to Kenny Thomas and Robert Traylor as those guys are in the same category as Marion. Dirk has 5 inches on marion, that's a lot of height, wing span etc. These guys are so different that they cannot be compared. I admit, I'm a bit of a Marion fan, but he's good... He frequently played against bigger guys last season and still racked up the blocks and the steals... While Dirk played against smaller guys last season with Dampier taking the biggest guys on defense. So Dirk had an advantage in defensive department and Marion had a disadvantage on defense. This already speaks Volumes...

Also, do I have to remind you guys that basket ball is an attacking players game... The attacker is always at an advantage over a defender. Attacker acts, defender reacts... The acter is always ahead of the reacter...

And the guy who referred to the NBA efficiency ratings in order for Dirk to be the third best player in the league, well you think Brad Miller is the 11th best player in the league??? He was 11th in efficiency...

Come on u know that T-Mac is not only a scorer He is 25 6 5. I know Lebron got 27 7 7, but does that mean that he is better than T-Mac. Dont go on statistics look at how they play I know i am a Rockets Fan I respect LeBron he is not better than T-Mac Im sorry say if you Believe that T-Mac is not better LeBron you are believing the Hype and you are just being ignorant

Thu Sep 22, 2005 10:15 pm

^
but videogames go on statistics for the most part, and outside of stats, Lebron is still a better rebounder and passer. He was a better passer as soon as he entered the league anyways. Like I said, no need to get emotional, and after updates they might be the same because as of now Lebron's DAware is too high.

Thu Sep 22, 2005 10:18 pm

I am not getting emotional i am jus asking if think LeBron is better than T-Mac

Thu Sep 22, 2005 10:20 pm

Like I said, in real life he's not, in a videogame, it's nothing big because he's a better all-round player, the end...
