When do I use Superstar block and normal block?

When do I use Superstar block and normal block?

Normal block let your guy hang in the air for a longer period with hands up, while Superstar block is so quick... I dont see anyuse of it... or is there?

Superstar block makes the ball go flying. (Swatted) :D
Normal blocks is just a push back.

Also with superstar blocks you have a better chance of blocking superstar moves, especially dunks. I swatted several online yesterday using Tim
Duncan and Ben Wallace.

hmm... never used that. :)

Superstar blocks are embarrassing and the ball goes half court or way out of bounds.
But normal blocks are just normal blocks, maybe blocks by fingertips.. 8-) While superstar, you block with ur palm, elbow, or perhaps the armpit.

With Greg Ostertag, I've done Armpit and "titty" blocks

LOL, supastar blocks are really excited. There's nothing like D. Wade driving to the goal about to dunk and AMARE comes out of nowhere and beats it to half court!

yea....i like it when you use the superstar block to swat away a dunk and it comes off the backboard 8-)

Mon Oct 17, 2005 12:54 pm

when i swat with supastar it not only comes off tha backboard but almost hits da backboard on tha otha end LOL

Use it when you're a bit slow in anticipating when a player is about to shoot or dunk. Since Superstar block is quicker, you have a chance of blocking the shot even if your reaction in defending the shot is late, and since Superstar block has a higher chance of blocking than normal block you might still block that shot even if you're a bit late against the shot.

You should use the regular block the most often. Use the superstar block when your beat off the jump.

With this I mean. If you can jump with or before the shooter, then use the regular block.

If he jump before you or your playing catch up or even just sliding into position, then that's when you use superstar, which translates into you using it sparingly if your playing good defense to begin with.

Supastar block is realistic. you cannot hang in the air for about 10 seconds just to get a block. so they are right for making it like that!

Hmm.. I should try using superstar block. I find it easier to block using regular block since I can anticipate when somebody is going to score.

I've never used superstar block at all. I'll try to use it this weekend with Shaq. As it is, Shaq is averaging 5.54bpg in my dynasty on superstar, 7-minutes.

lol.. i have never gotten one using superstar, maybe should try it.
