How do they compute for the overall rating

Fri Nov 25, 2005 4:25 pm

Just wondering, how did EA or the makers of the patches get up with the overall ratings of a team? Any formulas? hehe..

I also wondering that, because although most of the players are below 77 as overall but the team is above of 77.

A superstar above 90 makes team above 80 i think...

just asked that coz i saw LA clippers ratings fall down from a patch. i think they have a great starting 5.

i dont think it matters with team ratings...
my sixers dynasty my teams rated 64 but its got a great lineup with key players giving them awinning formula and its actualy hard to lose when i simulate just coming off beating san antonio detroit and miama by at least 15 points each(all simulated)

The team ratings don't mean much, some teams have high ratings but suck. Their way of determining team ratings is quite bad actually.

bench comes into it.

i have a 9man roster, with ratings of

85
75
85
70
93

75
75
67
73

theyre all good ratings, but my team rating is only 71 because i dont have many players.
