Speech ID - I think I've found a clue...

Fri Nov 18, 2005 9:16 am

Have you noticed that speechid for NBA Live 2006 uses 99 and a number (lets say XX) to hear the speech calling the jersey number?. Example: 9917 and announcers says "number 17".

Have you noticed that using 95 and a nickname number the speech displays the nickname sound??? Example: ATM, etc.

What happen if you use 90XX, 91XX,.....,96XX 97XX, 98XX???

I think there's some homework for everyone.... try those 9X's with names and nicknames id.

I hope I've found a clue to hear once and for all "The Worm" when playing Dennis Rodman or just "Rodman" when using last name id of the names dbf file.

Soon!!! My first try of this theory....

I've noticed that too while I've been working on the rosters. With most former players, it seems to be a matter of referring to their PLAYERIDs from older NBA Live titles.

you can use nicknames on your created player by changing the speechid id into a nickname but marv and kerr will still call your no. its only pa that recognize it
