It would be nice to do something like that. But if I had a choice between tweaking the gameplay or providing a hair option, I'd prefer that EA spend more time on the gameplay.

It's impossible because of the way the art files are setup. The hair is part of the face file and headshape model rather than being a seperate part of the model that can be interchanged.

That's not entirely true. Certain players come with a custom hair.ebo file and they can be mixed with any headshape, but it doesn't always look good. Just extract the player's hair from the "sgsm\players\plyrgrb.viv" file and rename it to the player you want to have the hairstyle. For instance, I needed some shoulder length hair for myself so I took stnash_B_hair.ebo and renamed it to match my player package. It took some trial and error to find a headshape that matched the hair and looked somewhat like me. My first few tries with long hairstyles I had hovering hair an inch above my head and hair slicing in my forehead and out my cheek.

You're right, I did oversimplify. But the fact remains the way the art/shape files are doesn't allow us to switch hairstyles without modifying those files.
