Stephon Marbury's FSS scorer moves

Postby PsiFlux on Sun Nov 13, 2005 2:02 pm

I'm not sure if this is a bug or anything but everytime I try to do a FSS layup as Marbury (with outside scorer enabled), he keeps doing a runner shot no matter which corresponding button I press/hold. And it almost never goes in either. The double clutch and turn around J does work for him though.

If I hand the ball over to Jamal Crawford (also o. scorer) and do the samething, he does the behind the back layups and windmills.

In fact, I tried out all the other o. scorers and Marbury is the only one who just does the runner shot and it's so frustrating.

Anyway, bug?

It depends on the ratings, I mean Nash and Kidd do different passes even though they are both playmakers

It might not be the case here, but if you attempt some FSS moves from too far out the player will attempt a different shot; a layup/runner rather than a dunk or a runner rather than a layup, for example.

I start the FSS move when the player is just slightly outside the semi-circle of hoop. All outside scorers do a cool layup around that area but for some reason when I switch to Marbury he only does a HORRIBLE runner. It looks more like a one handed tear drop shot but all of his FSS moves do that same kind of shot (aside from the turn around J/double clutch).

It's just frustrating because he almost always misses that shot whether he's out in the open or not.

It doesn't get much closer than the circle under the basket.

Yea I've been doing the move around the semi-circle under the hoop. Any closer and he'll be trying to do a layup behind the backboard.

Well, I'm glad a few other people experience the same problem. I thought it was just my game.

i have this problem before.
it is not related to how far you shoot it
this is some kind of error.

all you need to do is go to roster management,
disable his ability, press back, then go inside and enable his ability again,
it will work just fine!!

Baron davis have the same problem too

i remeber there was also something about how hard you are pressing the button, if you push it down hard, he will do one move, but if you barely tap it, he'll do another move, try that

YES!!! It worked!!! Thanks I can finally play without the stupid runner!

+edit+ And he can finally dunk now. Before he would NEVER dunk (though he rarely does in the NBA).
