A question regarding several configurations.

Postby apesta on Tue Oct 11, 2005 1:45 pm

I just started playing this yr's live few days ago. there is a problem with some of the configurations seem to be missing from previous Nba live. i notice the defensive stand, backing down, and box out are not on the list. i am wondering if there is a way u can add them or is it just that they cancel these configs out?

Without these configs, it make it differcult to defend and rebound. hope you people can help me out. Thanks in advance.

all three of these actions are defaulted to "right analog stick down", a few people are making progress with how to get these functions without the analog stick though. by down i mean in the down direction, not pressed in.

Quit being a cheap bastard and get yourself a controller for $20. If your unfortunate it might be $25. If you can't afford it go pull some weeds or mow the neighbours lawn.

Well you sure are an ignorant wanker arent you, I use the keyboard because ive ALWAYS used the keyboard, 10 years, its not about being cheap its about preference you idiot. I dont want to use a controller at a computer, I'll use a controller for the xbox coz im forced to.

If people don't want to use a controller than they shouldn't complain about a game that's made to be played with a controller. You wouldn't play basketball wearing dress shoes and blame it on the game. I don't know if you're one of the ones that says "EA is a such a stupid company for not letting keyboarders get the full gameplay", but if you are. Get with the times.

cheap bastard because i am using a keyboard? do u even make any sense? i find no problem using the keyboard since live 95.

well then i don't get why they took those functions out this year since they had it last year on the keyboard. if thats the case, so be it. my question is answered. thanks anyways.

See the difference here is that Live 95 had something like 2 different controls, wheras now Live has Freestyle and such.

The reason they took them away from a keyboard user is because they work so much better for the other 98% of people that use controllers (console included) integrated with the right analog stick.

Now, if you have enough money for a controller (I assume you do since you had enough for the game) I strongly suggest you get one. Any liking you had for using the keyboard will be gone after 4 games tops. The ease of things that seemed hard before is shocking. And a controller is half the cost of the game so it's not too bad.

sorry guys, but in this day and age you need to use dual analog to get the full experience. That's just the way the cookie crumbles.

seriously, jsut give a gamepad a try. i guarantee you'll like it.

How do I miss these threads. Now all I need is for someone to request a CD key and it'll be a good day all round.
