Playing Basketball in Melbourne

Calling for help from all Melbournites...

Been im Melbourne for about a week and half now and still havent found anywhere in melbourne to play Basketball, just shoot some hoops etc. I dont mind having to pay to use an indoor gym etc. Im staying right in the CBD so id prefer to find a court that is in Zone 1.

If anyone knows of somewhere good to go let me know

Melbourne Aquatic Centre in Albert Park, has comps on in evenings but during day usually free. Give them a call on 99261555 to confirm if courts are free before heading down.

I would agree with the above poster and say the Aquatic Centre at Albert Park is your safest bet. Can take the tram their from the city with ease.

On a side not did you end up getting work over here? Where did you find a place to stay etc.?

I was in melb for 3 weeks and only found a few courts but no one on them.

If you were up in Bris you would find courts and people or even at high schools on the weekends.

Yup MSAC is real good, always some good pickup games to be played there.

Only like 2 days - there was hardly anyone there... I was there with 2 mates in the same jumpers, they had a big 06 on the back with our names...
