Official NBA 2k7 Thread

You pretty much have to use the default sliders if you want to do any player dev. in association mode...
sucks ass that it keeps resetting after doing that stuff - its my fav part of the association.

Does anyone know if they are doing an update to fix the problem?

in 2k7 is it possiable to change the players shooting style like if i want chris bosh to have kg's jumpshot. For the ps2

After a day of playing the game, i have to ask.. HOW THE FUCK DO YOU DRIVE THE LANE??? I have Melo on my team, and the only way i can score is with jumpshots.. i cant drive to the lane with him, or anyone for that matter.. any ideas?
Also, is there a way to stop the PF and C cutting out to the 3 point line to recieve the pass? Im trying to feed the paint, and they keep coming out..

hiya, i was reading some threads on xbox forums, and someone said you actually need to be on XBOX LIVE GOLD MEMBERSHIP to d/l rosters and other stuffs, is it true? cuz my 1 month trial will finish soon...and...i do not want to pay to just get online! i also bought rainbow six las vegas and gears of war! does it mean i need to be on gold to play online too???!?!

Yeah, it's true. I was gonna download some new rosters but I can't anymore, this is fucked.

I would be fine with editing my own roasters if not for the fact that like 50 players are missing. I wonder if Garbajosa, Millsap, etc. will be in the update.

i know how you feel man. I had my own updated rosters minus the missing players but then they added some in their newst ps3 download, so that's the only way you're going to get them is through the download

Don't you guys just love it? Isomotion and pick and roll is the best I can think of. If you can get your defender on skates sometimes you can blow right by him or pull up for a J. I'd recommend a good slider set (I'm using Jistic's I think from OS) because without some modifications it's pretty easy to cross guys up.

Also if you pull up from the wing hold the L-Trigger while you shoot to do a bank shot.

Driving the lane is easy, if you want to be a constant driving and get cheesy dunks all day long i suggest you use the Lakers and their triangle offense, it leaves the baseline wide open and a couple of isomotion moves and you get past the defender and saw in for the slam.

If you wanna drive just straight through then get good with isomotion and cross up your opponent and then drive and dish for the dunk or drive it all the way to the hole for a layup or a dunk. Drive and Dish works the best seeing as you have less chance to get blocked.

The best feeling in this game is getting a 3 point play, i get them quite often with Camby and K-mart, back down the opponent then spin on them with Y and do a power dunk with the shot stick, your almost guaranteed to get fouled in the process and the dunks are unstoppable so you still follow through. This would work very well with Shaq but i dont use the heat so i dont know but hes done it on me a few times.

Not as good as getting a game winning 4 point play with Melo like i did last night!
@ Air edwards, you just go to Roster Management or whatever its called, and push A on the player, then it will bring up the list of stuff, and you go to Edit, then in the edit menu, go to Signature, and you do it in there..
@ Everyone else, is it possible to change the Team Playbooks? For example, can i give Sacramento the Lakers plays and stuff?

Also, in regard to driving the lane.. so i just twist the fuck out of the analog stick to do tricks and hope he falls or goes the wrong way or something? Any suggestions for keeping the big men in the paint?

After playing some more games, im finding it easier to score.. mainly thanks to my duo of Tim Duncan and Joe Johnson (who has an awesome shot release)

Julius Hodge dominates in this game, hes become my new starter with Melo playing the 4 JR playing the 3 and Hodge playing the 2 with Iverson and Camby at 1,5 the lineup is pretty solid and Melo is way too quick for the other PFs in the league so he crosses them up and drives to the hoop a lot easier he also is averaging 11 rebounds a game along with Camby's 15.

Is it just me or it's not possible to play 2k7 with 2 contrellers. (I guess it's just me) anyway I just cannot play 2k7 1 on 1 cause only on contreller works . Does anyone have this orib. as well ? The second controller just doesn't work on this game. My first controller (the one which works) is from ps2 and the second is PS1. This may be the reason but PS1 contreller works fine with any other game except 2k7.

I bought the XBOX 360 and Nba 2k7.
The game is very good and if you have an HDTV, you will enjoy more.
I still have a standard TV but I played to my friend's house on his 51 inches HDTV TV and it was amazing.

The animations are great with the signature moves.
I bought the game on Amazon for $39.99.
