You sure your card is dead? Try putting the original cooler back on or starting from scratch, making sure the thermal paste is applied and that the heatsink is on very tight.

I am sure it's the video card, I changed to 7800GT which was lying around, and the monitor turned on.

I think it's the ram sinks or vrm sinks that might have killed it or caused short. I also bought and used arctic cooler adhesive since those stickers on ram sinks and vrm sinks don't really work that good. Also I wiped off Thermal Paste that came with the cooler, then reapplied with MX-2 for the better performance. The funny thing is the computer worked so well for one night, then I left it on, the next day, my monitor wouldn't detect any connection. I was still able to hear some background windows sounds when I moved mouse around. I checked everything and tried different stuff for hours and then till next day, but nothing worked. So I finally switched back to 7800GT, and guess what, at least my monitor detects it.

This is BS. I decided to pick up Sapphire Vapor-X Radeon HD 4870 2.0GB PCI-Express 2.0 as a replacement, but will cost me $300. FUCK!

It's the timeout/intentional foul chess matches towards the end of some games that irk me the most. I understand the strategy in it of course but it's an ugly thing to behold sometimes, especially when the game's clearly out of reach already and it's just delaying the inevitable.

Why bother watching the remainder of the game then?

It depends on the deficit. Sometimes I won't, if its the Bulls I usually will because I prefer to watch to the bitter end and if it's close enough that a miracle finish might happen I'll keep watching. Other times I just feel like watching a game all the way through. But yes, there are times when I'll stop watching before the final buzzer when it's already decided. Even if I do stop watching though, I reserve the right to criticise the approach of needlessly fouling or calling timeout when the game is out of reach as I think it's pretty pointless.

Post-game interviews and highlights? Events that might happen (brawl between Denver and New York in the past) even if it's a blowout? Good game commentators that you just listen to them instead of watching the game?

Those too, though as I said I will sometimes stop watching (or just have the end of the game on in the background).

Mike Gorman & Tommy Heinsohn

They are the reason I even watched any Celtic games in the 06/07 season

You'll never know when some of them will actually give a good answer instead of the usual, "...we played hard..., we gave out 110%..., this is what we practiced..., etc"

Let me correct myself. Amusing commentators.

Don't you guys love Kenny Smith and Barkley as commentators? They always give us something to laugh about. Well, at least I enjoy watching them.

Barkley still is in a prime shape.

Kobe can jump over a car? Kenny Smith can do better in rather more impressive fashion.

So that sucks anyway. But my major problem is that I have to look for a course of studies right now since I have to apply in mid June. And I just cannot find any nice course that Id like to do at the university of my hometown. So I may have to go to the next city, which is Munich .. about 40 miles away from where I live (Augsburg).
But I dont want to leave Augsburg, and I wont find a cheap apartment in Munich anyway. Commuting would suck hard, takes about 1h per train and 1h back and is quite expensive.
Further my girlfriend wants to study in Augsburg and is afraid of loosing me if I study in another city.

THAT DRIVES ME MAD !!! damn fucked up situation :wall:

Thats what I felt in January and I really thought this was a bad time of my life but hey in two weeks my civilian service is over and I am totally free then. And it feels so good right now. I will have 4 month of free time and then study. Still dunno where, but this time I dont care so much about it. Its my life and I can do whatever I want.

Just tough to see what I wrote 5 month ago .... it was a bad time :( Just wanted to tell that I feel pretty damn good right NOW !! :)

So just played an hour and half marathon of Rockband 2 with Kathryn (yea, we are that awesome on this Saturday night) and decided to pop in GH2 for some odd reason. After a few co-op songs I played Less Talk More Rokk to "show off"

phpBB [video]

(not me, just a video of the song)

Well, after the song finished, she called me out on it after her actually really good expert runs at Rockband tonight and said I was showing off and being a jerk.

I responded with "you think that is showing off? just wait until you see the high scores and see that I was nowhere near the scores I posted when I was actually playing GH2."

Sure enough, high scores pop up and I had beaten by old high score by 30,000 points.

I proceeded to fist pump and say "Ooooh, In you're face younger Jao!"

"Don't you mean skinny Jao?"

Jao sure is fortunate to have a woman that has a good zinging ability. All she needs now is an improvement in zinging material, I'm not a big fan of zings that focus on the physical aspect. If that happens, I envy you Jao.
The zing on you t'was good though.

They have their moments, sometimes they get a bit too wrapped up in their own jokes/antics for my liking. When they're not being serious though, they're much more entertaining than Stephen A. Smith was/is.

Thanks, Andrew.

I decided to take this speeding ticket to the court. I'm gonna ask for a pardon as I did receive some award stuff on that night from city MLA and counsellers, hoping that will help in the case.
