The first one is alright, I don't really like the text and maybe you shouldn't have done the drop shadow, but overall it is ok.
You shouldn't have even added that border in the second one, it just ruins the whole sig IMO.

On the second one the problem is that the actual sig has that used-look. If you know what I mean. You used brushes and all. That's why the new purple border doesn't really fit - it's too shiny and looks all new and clean. I think if you added a border like that with the brushing, etc. like the actual V1 it would look much better.

no i made it with the polygonic lasso tool, and then i changed some of the layer properties

and as for the cuts is use on the sig, I only use them because im not that good at cutting stuff out, i dont use cuts from psdcentral all the time just if i can find a good picture of the player on their site

Anyways, most of your sigs are pretty solid; i'd avoid putting a bevel on the text as its getting abit repititive.
