...the woman flayed and dismembered the body. She threw away the head and used the rest to cook a New Year dinner. She minced some meat and used in meatballs and dumplings and also made jellied meat with hands and feet — she later bartered that dish for liquor with neighbors.

When the guests arrived, the woman treated them to everything she cooked — meatballs, dumplings, soup and liver sausage. The people did not know they were eating human flesh, only one guest noticed that the meat was unusually sweet, but he was told that this was because it was very fresh.

The only thing I find more disturbing than the fact she hacked him to death, cooked him, and served him up to her guests is that she only got 11 years in prison. Every murder (and I mean murder, not killing in self defence, manslaughter, etc.) should be a life sentence, at the least. This, however, is such a sick crime she deserves death. Death by whatever, as long as it hurts like fuck and she's off the face of the planet.

It's called Kuru, and it's directly linked to cannibalisim. I believe it has to do with your own species having the same amino acids, which for some reason causes ill health effects.
