The Bogut deal has incentives, so the highest he can earn is 72 million in the 5 years. The minimum was around the 60 million range but I'm not too sure of it.

If that is the case, then it is a much better deal....I thought $72m was far too high....$12m/year seems like a fairer figure....

I'd say Bogut has moved ahead of those players already having posted better numbers than either of them did in their combined eighteen years in the league. Even coming out of college, Bogut didn't really fit the "Big White Stiff" profile, being more than just a big white guy who could take up space and block a few shots.

It is a huge contract for someone who's establishing themselves as a good, not great centre in the league though, more than I thought the Bucks would be willing to pay him.

What's so strange about the Bucks' offering Bogut that kind of dough? They did give Gadzuric that ridiculous contract.

Good point. All the same, you'd think it might make them a bit wary about overspending on big men in the future. Then again, that does seem to be the trend. At least Bogut's had a few good seasons and still shows promise though.

If Okafor wanted a contract similar to D. Howard's, what kind of contract will he demand, now that Bogut signed this deal? I'm sure a big one.

5yrs/65mil? dat would be pretty reasonable for a solid guy that gets you 13/10 a night and is a solid defensive presence....

I'd say Okafor will probably get a similar deal to Bogut.
