Looks like there only going with 3 bigs. Carlos Boozer, Chris Bosh and Dwight Howard. I think they do fine as I do believe Carmelo is going to play a bulk of the minutes at the 4.

well that was 2 years ago and CP didn't play last year in 07, so i think he'll do well considering the season he has this last year.

If those players are already on the team, then the last 3 spots are down to:
Gilbert Arenas
Shane Battier
Mike Bibby
Bruce Bowen
Elton Brand
Tyson Chandler
Kevin Durant
Joe Johnson
Shawn Marion
Brad Miller
Mike Miller
Adam Morrison
Lamar Odom
Jermaine O'neal
Paul Pierce
and
JJ Redick
15 players: 3 spots
I'd pick Battier, Odom, and Paul Pierce. But that's just me.

My mistake, I forgot he played for them before. I thought Virgin Islands was in the same category as Puerto Rico when it comes to International basketball.

Shut the fuck up, everyone can root for whoever they want. You don't have to be loyal to your country's team if you don't want to.
Tue Jun 24, 2008 1:01 am
So are you going to argue that David Beckham should denounce the British Soccer team and join the Americans, just because he now lives in LA? Then do you absolutely despise Dirk, or Tony Parker, or Ginobili, because hey, after all they live here, but play for their respective nations.. After all that's your argument; your current location defines your loyalty to a country, not bloodlines, values, tradition, or anything.
That's being close minded man.

Wow... let me get this straight. You are sayig that just because we live in a certain country, we are supposed to ditch our opinions and preferences? I came to the US seven years ago from Argentina but my way of being and culture has not changed one bit. Yes, this country is giving me tons of opportunities but if Argentina plays against the US in any sort of sport, you bet your ass that I'm gonna be carrying a 10 foot Argentinian flag to support the country I love.
You are saying that people should leave the country because they don't root for the American teams?? People are not in this county to make fun of American sport teams, they are here for a better chance at life and a better future for their kids.
Oh and by the way... ARGENTINA PWNS ALL!!!11!!11!11 LOLZ........ just felt like doing that
Tue Jun 24, 2008 4:36 am
what kingjames23 is saying is "If you came to live in america, you root for usa or go back to where u come from." and he also clearly said "I'm not a racist, just a PRO america"
dude, america is country made from mixed cultures & roots. respect that.
back on topic, i like the team. intensity and motivation there? Not sure... hope they will play as a team, not as individual trying to prove something. frankly speaking, kg & amare would have been nice instead of Boozer and bosh.

WDF did he even watch this last season? and Paul didn't "make it" last year because he was hurt.

dirk, manu, yao, parker... these guys dont consider themselves americans. they live here because their teams are here. if they thought of themselves as americans, what team would they be playing for again?
So let me get this straight.
You believe that if Dirk, Manu, Yao and Tony Parker considered themselves Americans that they would be allowed to play on the USA team?
You may be the dumbest poster to ever set foot in the NLSC, and that is not easy to do.
