My point is...at no time to this date has Lebron been considered by the masses in the basketball world to be the best player; even when he made the finals. That essentially makes LakersRule24's point moot. There is and was never any "hypocrisy" when it comes to the two of them.

i think even caron is better than LBJ this year....

Players don't win, teams do. To compare players, you compare players, not the teams they play for.i think even caron is better than LBJ this year....
You have got to be kidding me.
granthill33 wrote:players make teams win...and about the caron butler,,, i just put emphasis how bad the cavs and lebron are playing, maybe if i said jamison and caron on james you would feel better...

The Wizards are better than the Cavaliers. This does not make Antawn Jamison or Caron Butler, even combined, better than LeBron James.
The Lakers and Cavaliers may be playing better or worse because Kobe or LeBron are playing better or worse, but you cannot infer that Kobe and LeBron are playing better or worse BECAUSE the Lakers and Cavaliers may be playing better or worse.
The Lakers are tops in the West, what does this tell us about how good Kobe is playing? Nothing.

this debate is over dude.

Nobody talks about Malone and Stockton on the short list of great players? Seriously, you're going to make this claim?
Will Perdue has four rings, John Salley has four rings, Robert Horry has seven. Are these guys all-time greats, while Malone and Baylor aren't?

Wait, now you're using statistics instead of team success.lunatic wrote:so cavs get in to the finals last year, what does it tell about LBJ?? nothing???
Correct. It tells me about the Cavaliers. It does not tell me about LeBron James' performance. I can infer performance, that because LeBron is important and a large part of the team, he must have done something right if the team was winning, but that does not make it a fact, LeBron may very well have hindered the team and it was everyone else playing well.
