P.J. Carlesimo (Team USA assistant coach): People look back and go, "Look at these other guys—why would they have a college guy?" People forget, Christian Laettner is arguably the best college player ever. Show me somebody else who accomplished what he did in four years.


Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, maybe?

And could've been even more dominant, if the dunk hadn't been banned in college during that time.

Actually, I think the banning of the dunk made Kareem a better player.

I watched this again today, like my 5th time watching it through in this year. Made me feel better about living in America.
