They expect to be compensated for their property. And they should be. The same way that players are compensated for their likeness, the teams/league are compensated for their official branding, so on and so forth.
You have no worries here, because you are not profiting off of the mods. 2K Sports is.

No. They can't. They can sue you for making a profit off of them. Take-Two is making a profit off of the property (in this case, tattoos), of others. Unless you are making a profit off of your mods (and a substantial one, at that), there is nothing for you to worry about. This has been going on for years and years and years. It is nothing new. Nobody is coming to sue you Robsky. Have no fear.
