Cyberface Making Problem in Blender

Please help, especially the cf modders out there. Just a newbee here, while im following r4zor's tutorial, i have no idea why the image becomes BLACK in color when i press the "texture" button/tab. In r4zor's tutorial, it is WHITE making it looks easy for him to edit.

Go to View (left down corner), and then an option which says Global/Local View.

thnx 4 the help but i already found an alternate solution, i just deleted the lamp, cube and camera options at the right and it fixes.
