Should I upgrade?

Postby chaodck on Tue Oct 15, 2013 1:24 am

I've bought this bad boy for my PC ever since NBA 2K9 came out for it and this year will probably be no exception, but I have a doubt.

Should I upgrade to the X360 version?
In Steam, NBA 2K14 currently costs $23, while the X360 version costs $66, in my favourite games retailer here in Chile.

In my PC I'll play with my X360 controller, so no difference there, and I mainly play MyCareer and Association, which means the editors would be a +1 for PC. I don't think I'll play online, but if MyTeam is somewhat similar to what Ultimate Team is in FIFA and Madden series, I might be interested.

What do you say guys, should I upgrade, or should I save the money? What's the advantages the X360 version offers in comparison to PC?

Hola!

Edit: I doesn't make much sense to me to buy the 360 version, knowing that games on pc are graphically superior, and it's easier to install mods on pc games. If I had a console (ps3 or 360) I would only play exclusive titles. The only thing I don't know, is if this year the 3pt and dunk contests are avalaible for the pc version. But overall, i don't see any other advantage on having the 360 version (Y)

Just to clarify, it's English only in the NLSC Forum.

If you're not planning on playing online, the PC version is certainly a viable option. The lack of VC aside, the basic features of MyCAREER and Association are identical across all three platforms, so you're not missing out on anything except MyCLOSET. The three point shootout and dunk contest are on the PC, though like the consoles you have to sim through to the All-Star Weekend to play them; they're not available for exhibition play. With the modding capabilities for the PC version, I'd suggest it's the superior choice if you're going to be playing offline.
