Favorable 2k14 review

It's for the PC and the reviewer hits on some of the frustrating parts of the PC version including the lack of a functional online feature. In the end he gives it a pretty decent score 7.5/10

I like this part of his review as he describes the MP part:

...it either crashed on me, froze on me or kicked me back to the title screen. When you do finally get a game going, the horrendous frame rate makes it so unplayable that you have no option but to quit. It continues to boggle my mind as to why 2K would continue to add this feature in the PC and not rework or improve on it. It's like having dog poop in your living room; you know it's there but instead of cleaning it up, you simply cover it up with newspaper and pretend it doesn't exist. Out of sight .. out of mind is their philosophy I suppose.

I've only attempted to play one game online, but I'd certainly agree. The framerate was pretty poor and I was disconnected unexpectedly towards the end of the third quarter. It doesn't seem like the stability is any better than last year for the PC.

I just tried again playing online and the system never connected me to any game or available games. I'm curious to know if anyone has had a good game using this feature or are we once again at the mercy of 2k?

Online is lackluster to say the least. Had some games which were reasonably smooth, but still even a slim delay makes shot releasing timing impossible. Also cheesing around paint with D.Rose or Westbrook is unstoppable. Its best to stay with offline modes.

Wish it would be something like FIFA where online is butter smooth and have various online modes.
