Help maxing out NBA2k14

Tue Oct 08, 2013 9:28 am

Hello everybody!

Well, I was hoping to play this game with everything maxed out (changing the config.cfg file), but the game seems to ignore every change I made, making my players low quality, almost 0 clothes physics, and "low life" stadiums.

Those are my settings, with the READ ONLY option enabled:

VIDEOSETTING_ADAPTERINDEX = 0
VIDEOSETTING_WIDTH = 1440
VIDEOSETTING_HEIGHT = 900
VIDEOSETTING_COLORDEPTH = 32
VIDEOSETTING_VSYNC = 1
VIDEOSETTING_REFRESHRATE = 60
VIDEOSETTING_WINDOWMODE = 0
VIDEOSETTING_MSAA = 8
VIDEOSETTING_MSAAQUALITY = 4
VIDEOSETTING_MAXTEXTURESIZE = 4096
VIDEOSETTING_DEPTHOFFIELD = 1
VIDEOSETTING_FLOORREFLECTION = 1
VIDEOSETTING_PLAYERLOD = 4
VIDEOSETTING_STADIUMLOD = 1
VIDEOSETTING_CROWDDETAIL = 1
VIDEOSETTING_SHADERDETAIL = 5
VIDEOSETTING_SIDELINECHARACTER = 0
VIDEOSETTING_ANISOTROPICQUALITY = 8
VIDEOSETTING_PARTICLEFFECT = 2
VIDEOSETTING_AVERAGE_FRAMERATE = 15
VIDEOSETTING_FORCE_HDR_ON_INTEL_GPU = 0
MAIN_LOGICAL_THREAD = 3
GPU_LOGICAL_THREAD = 2
STALL_CPU_ON_END_FRAME = 0
LIMIT_FLIP_QUEUE_LENGTH = 2
LIMIT_FLIP_QUEUE_LENGTH_SLEEP = 0
STICKYKEY = 510
TOGGLEKEY = 62
FILTERKEY = 126
ACCESSIBILITYKEY_SAVED = 0
LANGUAGE = -73020248
WINDOW_X = 0
WINDOW_Y = 0
STARTUP_ACCOUNT_REGISTRATION = 0
PERFORMANCE_BENCHMARK = 1
ADJUST_VIDEO_SETTINGS = 1
ADJUST_LANGUAGE = 1
CLOTH_LOGICAL_THREAD_0 = 3
CLOTH_LOGICAL_THREAD_1 = 2
CLOTH_LOGICAL_THREAD_2 = 1
CLOTH_LOGICAL_THREAD_3 = 0

MY SPECS:
AMD Phenom x4 955 3.0ghz
4GB Ram
ATI Radeon HD5670 1Gb GDDR5
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bits

And yet, the game looks low res. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I don't think you'll be able to play on max settings, at least with a constant 30-60 FPS. You may be able to get 30 FPS but that will get lower if you use custom ENB's. One way to make keep the graphics settings you set manually from changing it is to make the configuration file a "read only" file after you save it. By doing that the game/program will not be able to change the settings automatically. If you really want to max out the game I suggest you upgrade your video card. I mean the 4800 series could probably play 50+ FPS on Max but it's only a DX10/10.1 GPU.

I did set the config file to READ ONLY, and the exe seems to ignore it.

With all maxed out from menu, I can play constant 60fps.

Don't forget the 5670 is almost top of series GPU (even Crysis2 and Batman AC goes constant 60fps)

Thanks!
