Could Some explain how to create a Roster from an Assoc file?

Basically, I just want to start up a new Association, using the rosters from an old Association. I have RED MC but every time I try to save a FXG file to a ROS file, nothing happens.What am I doing wrong?

try to copy every assoc. tab into a new roster file.

first copy players tab, paste into new roster.
then copy teams tab, paste into new roster.
and so on...

maybe that way it works.
