I like to create a guy as myself, but putting him to play in a hard position, such as PF or C, once I'm only 6'4". That's very funny, but tough too. There aren't many blocks or offensive rebounds there, although I get more skills points because of low height for the position.

To honor one of the greatest of all times, I'll create a new "White Mamba".
I still ponder about his signature skills...

Like Andrew, I usually create myself, but I'm getting a bit old to be a rookie now (26). In future games, I'm probably going to start at the lowest eligible age and physically progress my player through the looks I had up til the present day (medium length, long hair and now, clipped hair). I figured it'd be a good way to make things relatively realistic aesthetically. I usually use my height (6'4 without shoes, so I make myself 6'5) and create an undersized swingman.

As for skillset... that's where I like to be unrealistic

I re-create a version of myself in the game but with NBA specs. So I'm 6'2" in real life but due to the fact that I'm taller than alot of guys I play against, it allows me to play as a mobile power forward or even center. Obviously at 6'2" this is impossible in the NBA, so I bump my height up to a good PF size, maybe 6'10" and base his skill set and strengths around my own playing style.
I'm 28 now but I still normally put myself in the game as a young rookie.
This year I was able to use my own CF in the game thanks to mods and tips from within the community, enhanced my experience tenfold.

Gotta live the NBA dream somehow, and doing it vicariously through a video game is a close as I'm going to get!

Height may vary from 6'5 to 6'9, depending on what forward position I want to play in-game. Weight is real weight plus 5 lbs. increase for every inch increase from my real height. Age is always 28 based on my own observations regarding player potential back then in 2K10. With that age, I don't want any natural increase in my player's ratings and want to see how long my player will last in the league.

LOL. What the fuck? That's the best thing I've seen on the Internet since this

In 2k11 and 2k12 I played with fictional player and I am planning on making myself in 2K13 since there are all those cool features. But as someone else said, after some period of time it doesnt really matter who you play as,especially because you can change the name and appearance of your player at any time :D
Still taking my time to perfect the beat
And I still got love for the streets.
