So we have the current roster in progress, I have done the NCAA and G-League.

Anyone have any ideas or concepts for something else to be modded or worked on?

i started watching nba in 1992 and i don't follow current seasons (last couple of them). retro is all i have interest.

Fair enough hopefully someone is willing to help out with that or you could try learning yourself :D

I got some good resources and videos if you wanna try just making one team or two

I have tried but if we can crack that it'll be amazing :D

I nearly managed to convert 2K14 files to 2K11 through Red MC and got all the way there UNTIL

RedMC only exports iff files in 2K14 format even though it can open 2K11 files and edit them so that was unfortunate :(

Someone try and find the blacktop scoreboard that can potentially be edited to ESPN or CBS check it out

Plenty of ideas for concept rosters. One thing I have on the backburner is a Kobe tribute roster. I've already done some preliminary work on it, to break up the monotony of working on the current roster.

hmmm, well, i dug around just a little bit last night.
It seems that for 2k11, gooey_global.iff is indeed the scorebug file.
unfortunately, it seems that the nba2ktool and the 3dmtool are making a mess of exporting the blender files.

For instance, i can open the mesh in 3dmtool and export 9AE93C7C .... the mesh is a mess-- gets exported to desktop, but all jumbled-- but I can import the jumbled .N2KM file into blender
But, more problem, is that the tools cannot import the .N2KM back into the archive.... like, if you export 9AE93C7C to desktop... and make no changes, then try to import it back.... it doesn't import and gives an error.

for 2k10, 2k12 .... maybe the others, it was same procedure that we have been doing .... export the mesh, import into blender, make changes .... save changes .... then import the mesh back into the iff file 2k12 scorebaord tutorial, for instance

But yeah, unless Looyh or Trevor -- or some other person in the future -- take a look at gooey_global.iff and make a tool for it, scoreboard gonna not be done with what we have now.

I also didn't check all the textures.... to see if the main scoreboard texture is in gooey_global.iff ---

not sure old modders used blender.
perhaps "just" hexedit :crazyeyes:

could just hex edit a scoreboard, but would have to find the edge of the mesh and move it around.

the real problem, that i see, is that we cant find the main scoreboard background. Those old games were much more unforgiving with texture work --- has to be the same texture size (512x 128) as well as equal or below to the file size .... if scoreboard texture is 238kb.... can't go over 238 kb

but yeah, could do it with hex editing, but if can't find the texture to manipulate, then no way to get a larger or different texture back into the .iff --- of course, it been a while since i tried texture work with modding the older gen games.

on a side note, new xbox specs just got talked about today --- next gen console are gonna be super ... https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2020/02/24/ ... on-gaming/

just pretty much desktop equivalency gaming rigs.... so cant wait to see what next gen games are gonna be like.... any console hardware gains are a positive for us PC players.

edit: now, the gooey_globall.iff for 2k11 doesn't seem to be read correctly (meshes messing up) so the texture could be in the file, but would have to ask the programmers/knowledgable people to take a look at the file. Beyond the scope of my skillset

Gonna try doing a kobe titlescreen by the end of the week. I know how to edit it correctly I'm just gonna have to find some smoky or foggy effect to make the awkward crop for the images fit in lol

I have downloaded the old version of blender (2.49b) and python 2.6.2 but there still no n2km option in import. Help me with this pls. I have already finished making my own cyberface.

Hello there, you guys can mod the last MJ season as a Wizards, it seems no one pay attention about it because was on Wizard team, but the team is not as important as the player, we're talking about the GOAT and it would be awesome a complete and accurate about that truly last ride.

Im always thinking about my first own project, the first project comes to my mind is 2015-2016 Season Mod, 1990-1991 Season Mod,1989-1990 Mod and 1992-1993 Season Mod, Now i ask you guys is which mod do you prefer? thank you:)
