Reshawn Tyson Promises To Give His All
Preview | Box Score | Recap | Highlights
SEATTLE, Apr 15 (AP) – Seattle Stealth SG Reshawn Tyson has pledged to put all his talent onto the table for his team in what could be his final postseason campaign. After four seasons with the Stealth, Tyson might not return as he comes off his rookie deal. The 2009 third overall draft pick sounded buoyant about the Stealth’s chances of getting to the NBA Finals but refused to discuss whether he would commit to a future with Seattle.
“I’m not ready to discuss my plans for the future,” Tyson addressed reporters on the eve of Seattle’s first game against eighth-seeded Portland, “It really is up to a lot of things. Let’s see if everything falls into place.” Reports have it that Tyson is prepared to sign for less than what Seattle can offer given that the situation is right. Rumour has it that Tyson is seriously considering a move to the New Orleans Hornets to play alongside PG Chris Paul.
Other teams that remain highly interested in Tyson are the New York Knicks, Boston Celtics, Memphis Grizzlies, and Charlotte Bobcats. It is no secret that the talented perimeter scorer is highly sought after as many NBA managers believe that he can be the most talented 2-guard in the NBA ahead of the likes of Kobe Bryant, Brandon Roy, Monta Ellis and Andre Iguodala.
Tyson rated his team’s chances of reaching the NBA Finals as very high but did not go the extra mile by saying that they could win the NBA championship, “I know what you want me to say but I won’t let in. We’re a good team and I’m confident in my teammates but I don’t want to say we can win it all. We have to prove that on the court.” Stealth Head Coach Will Sit praised his young star for how he has handled his off-court issues and really handling himself well on the court, “There were a lot of times where Tyson could have really got a bit carried away. Some time I was worried he’d quit but he has shown great character and resolve to be where he is at the moment.”
